My hand truck needs a home, preferably hanging on the wall.

I'd love to see pics of your solution so I can get this thing out of my way.

Thanks.

I was hanging mine from the rafters until I walked past one day and accidentally bumped it and it came crashing down, If I wasn't so quick in diving out of the way it would have decapitated me, now it lives in the corner of the shed.

Depending on the weight, you can go with a double or triple bicycle-type hook on a board that's attached to studs in the wall... but if we're talking homebuilt angle iron welding cart weight (I have a barrel truck that's like this - I use it to move our 20 gallon propane tanks around), all bets are off!

I need to find a good way to store mine too. It usually ends up wherever I used it last, which sometimes makes it hard to find.

I made mine multi-purpose, when not used for a truck it's duties are holding my oxy/acet. torches. I made it about 6" wider that a store bought one and welded a chain and hook on it to hold the bottles, and that has made it handy for moving other items.

Mine stores with my engine hoist, it fits within the footprint of the engine hoist, along with my axle stands.

It's a bit awkward when I need the hoist though.

How big of a hand truck are you trying to store?

We have tried everything, but usually anything on the wall gets heavy, and without protection the foot of the dolly crumbles the sheet rock or the wheels leave it black.

My recommendation?
Buy some vynl wheel covers and lock it up outside. Or buy a "kayak" hoist system and put it up on your ceiling

Currently mine sits next to the tool chest with the tongue under the cabinet. I don't need to move the chest very often,

I will have to see what comes up in this thread. I keep mines behind my open motocycle trailer next to th wall and hang a jacket or two from but hanging the hand tuck from the wall sounds better.

Mine lives on the floor, between the two garage doors with the trash can fiber drum on it (as if it were a load). Keeps it accessible and minimizes footprint.

It would take more space and be a greater hazard hanging on the wall.
