Storing Micrometer TQ Wrenches Below Lowest Settings?

I recently bought a few new, unused SO torque wrenches off of ebay, I noticed all but one of them was set a turn or two below the lowest mark on the body of the wrench, with the other set exactly at zero. These will be stored for a while before use, so is it ok to leave them as they are set? I would think it's fine but wanted to ask around. Thanks fellas.

Clicker wrenches? They use a spring inside, that's why you set them down when storing them, to prevent the spring from weakening. You can leave them either at the lowest setting or below that. Just don't leave it lying around for a year at the highest setting!

Also check the calibration of them periodically. I use a beam wrench to check mine. They do need to be recalibrated once in a while, depends on how often you use them.

I realize that they are supposed to be set to the lowest setting after use, but I didn't know if setting below that would hurt anything. Seems like it would be easier on the spring doing this.

I might not store them a full turn or two below zero but a couple of notches below zero would be okay.

Don't store them below the lowest setting, if there's not enough tension on them the internal pivot block could fall out of place wreaking havoc on your calibration, especially if they happen to be bumped (or God forbid) dropped. Lowest setting is fine.
