Storm Drains

I recently bought a house with a 4-stall attached side-entry garage.

The driveway has settled enough near the entry to the garage that it slopes toward the garage. Other than the general grade, it is in good condition.

I'm planning on installing a storm drain just outside of the garage. This would help with rain run-off, and I could even wash inside the garage and out to the storm drain.

Has anyone used a product like the Fernco system? Installed yourself? Opinions welcome.

You would be best off pulling a section of driveway in front of the garage, place a length wise trench in it, contour and slope that section of drive towards the drain placing the drain in the center. This keeps all possibility of water from getting into the shop regardless of weather, debris, amount of rain etc. Or at the very least gives you a better buffer zone than just cutting a swath across the door edge and hoping to shore the water off with a drain.
I have installed many of the trench type storm drains area wells drain etc. This way works best. No tears.
