I hope the statute of limitations has expired... Around 2000, I was an enterprising NCO at an Air Force Base in the final stages of BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) process. Everything from hydraulic presses down to staplers and wall clocks were being given to the county. Some bean counters came into our facility and had an elaborate system. If they put an orange sticker on it, it was theirs.
Wellll, there was a 10 drawer Vidmar on casters in our bay. Our squadron had our own motorpool from which I obtained an S-10 pickup. Let me tell you, that cabinet put the S-10 down on the bump stops. I hauled *** out of the squadron and deposited it into my garage. I'm lucky I wasn't hurt or killed getting it in or out of the truck.
Turns out, there was a LOT of nuts and bolts, brackets, and other materials left over from our installations all over the Air Force. Still have some of it.
I have lugged that big S.O.B. to 4 houses in 3 states, I hope I don't have to use those casters ever again.

when i was in college back in the 70's my brother in law worked renting road barricades. He knew i was into scuba diving. He calls one day and says one of the crews has a problem working on a sewer line placed a wooden plug in the wrong pipe in a manhole. the whole block starts to back up. he says get your scuba gear, wetsuit and get here fast. look at the manhole , look at the piping print and say no problem as long as I can wash off afterwards. put on gear climb down the manhole with a chain choker , feel around find plug and install choker ,climb out backhoe pops plug. problem solved total downtime about 5 minutes foreman gets me washed off from nearby hydrant hands me 200 bucks and down to sears I go for a brand new roll away and top box still using it today

Well this all happened last year I bought a 40" wide stainless craftman bottom box for 300 bucks like new. Used it for a year at home and sold it for 400. I also bought a krl761 with side cabinet and its is sooo close to new, everybody thinks it is new. Bought it for 2500. Sold the side cabinet for 1200. I also bought a red classic 60 that was new for 800 bucks. When I got it home it had a stainless top in the bottom drawer. Turns out it fits the 761 hang on I just sold. So I sold the top the the guy that bought the hang on for 250. Then I just sold the classic 60 for 1700. So I got a cherry 761 ultra yellow for 50 bucks!

Yes, I know I'm resurrecting an old thread.

This is kind of funny, at least to me. I bought my second taco box off CL in 2015 between Christmas and New Years. It's well used but decent shape. I was going through some papers, and I had printed out a CL ad from 2009 with, as it turned out, the same box. I realized this because one of the drawers needed a lot of attention. I had been going back and forth with the guy but we couldn't get in the same price range for me to spend the hour drive each way to see it. Anyways, I found the original conversation in my email, and I ended up buying the box for about $150 less than I offered the guy in 2009, though the guy I bought it from in 2015 was different than the guy who owned it in 2009.
