My garage is coming along great. Been doing everything my self. But I have never done a stone veneer before and am wondering if I should put my vinyl siding on first or do the stone wainscot first.

Do the stone first. You don't want to get to the top course and realize you siding is 1" too high or too low

Pretty sure "lick & stick" veneer starts high and runs down to keep the upper stone clean as you install. I plan on doing mine that way and put up a ledger board to start my upper wood siding. I would stress that you want to read up on the detailing of the veneer. The flashing is really important and it starts up under the upper siding.
