Stranded ground wire in conduit

I am running six new 220 circuits in conduit to some feed bin fans, unloading augers, etc next to my detached garage. The motors pull 8-17 amps (FLA) and are 75-80 feet from the panel so I'm using 10ga wire. I purchased spools of black and yellow 10ga stranded THHN, and I'm wondering if I can run a smaller gauge like 14ga for my ground wire to save a few bucks? Also, is OK to use stranded wire for ground? Thanks!

Backup.

Wire for Motor circuits is sized by HP NOT FLA.

So what is the HP rating on the motor?

What voltage? Single phase or 3 phase?

Thanks for your replies. Sorry I didn't provide enough info. I'm wiring to the following motors:

(2) fan motors - 3hp / 1ph / 230V
(4) auger motors - 1hp / 1ph / 230V (Baldor farm-duty)

What kind of pipe? The wire size is good. All in one pipe? You only new 1 per pipe. If in 1 there could be possible creating issues but this is likely not much a real issue, all running at once? Since some are only 1hp not so much a problem and if there was a problem meeting the letter of it could be done with a breaker change. Wylie could elaborate better than I could.
