I picked up a strap wrench minus the strap really cheap a while back.

A bit of experimenting got me to use automotive timing belts as nothing grips things quite like it.

All in all quite a nice tool for a buck.

Thanks for the tip, I have a strapless strap wrench sitting around, just waiting for me to get around to figuring out something for it, and a serpentine belt that needs changing. Perfect!

I had extra band after the fix and a small scrap metal pile.

So I made two more to test a theory of the strap ring on the lever placement. Both work well.

Simple little projects to make one.
