We are a dedicated stream light using shop. I have one baa fling issue. I keep one of my charges with my road tools and plug it into vehicle power most of the time.

Issue is the batteries don't seem to take much of a charge. Same battery on AC charge and "looks good last long time"

I've swapped multiple batteries and 2 chargers....same result on car power?

Thoughts?

Don't have a vehicle charger, but mine wouldn't charge right until I replaced tailcap switch.
My switch wasn't working right, but that seemed to fix the problem.

I bought the biggest baddest Streamlight from the snap on truck when he was running a special a couple years ago. Came with a nice mount/ charger either AC or DC. I mounted it in my service truck with the cig lighter charger. After a few months it wouldn't stay on more than a couple seconds. I sent it back for warrenty, and all was good for a few months then it started doing the same thing. Sent it off again but this time am only using the AC charger in the shop. Been a few months so we'll see. I think the DC charger was ruining the battery.

Might be worth your time to nix the cig lighter plug and make a good and secure wiring connection. Either on a dedicated circuit with a switch or a key switched "AUX" circuit. I've heard of people wiring them off the taillights so the unit charges only when you have the lights on (not an entirely bad concept). The cig lighter to 12 volt routine was always a flimsy and unreliable concept. In emergency vehicles we use the same concepts for rechargeable lights- permanent and hard wired and issues with the lights are rare!
