cant go wrong with streamlight everyone at my shop uses them. if you turn all the lights off in your house and point the light straight up it will illuminate the entire room. buy one you wont regret it.

One of the best lights on the market. I have the DS and I use the end switch because it is there, but I would not miss it if it wasn't there.

They just came out with an 1100 lumen protac. I'm sure they will put the same led in the stinger later this year. I'm going buy one if they do.

It may feel that way, but a 60w bulb is over 800, and I've seen LED bulbs meant for hi-hat fixtures that put out over 1600 at HD. There are 50w LED lights on eBay that put those to shame.

I love my Milwaukee M18 floodlight. It's way brighter than a 250w halogen.

The biggest issue with this sort of bright LED is the heat sinking. It's hard to put that kind of output in a flashlight that doesn't burn your hands.

when i was an officer, they issued the DS with the disclaimer that they would see it shortly because of the switches stop working. "its not if, it's when, so we will see you again"
quartermaster said that streamlight knew it was a problem, but would rather warrany service it then fix the problem. ...and because we had a contract with streamlight...

I have the regular stinger led HP. I also will say there's no need for the tailcap switch. Just know if it's a work light it's going to be the most beat up tool in your whole box
