Just ordered my new stringer, im a huge fan of streamlight and have been wanting the stringer. I have SL head lights, styles pro, and few others. After i orderd this beautiful 640 lumen stinger my buddy at work then tells me about the Protac HL3 with 1,100 lumens, was blown away by the reviews and asked him why he told me this right after i ordered the stinger. But i come to find out the Protac is not rechargable. So for this very big point to me im glad i went with the Stinger HL C4 and i got it for a hell of a deal for 100 on ebay.

What are yalls opinions on SL line of lights.

Havent tried many of their new lights. I can say I have used many of them and they are handsdown my favorite flashlights. I have an old beat up standard stinger that the battery died in a year ago. The light was probably at least 8 years old when I got it and lasted me a couple years. My favorite of their lights is the survivor, one in the truck and one on my fire gear.

Basically every peice I've layed hands on that says streamlight has never disappointed me. You really cant go wrong with any of their lights in my opinion.

You're gonna hate me but I've been raving about the nitecore in a couple of threads. Cheaper, better, brighter, more compact, and rechargeable with a mini USB. But it seams like everyone here is a diehard streamlight fan. I will never buy a streamlight.
