Purchased a green stinger last February from the independent tool guy that came to our shop. Lost it last April(pry left it under a hood or something) regardless.

About September I believe, I couldn't live w/o my stinger so I ordered another green one from the same guy(just the flashlight this time, as I already had the charger and spare battery). 3 weeks ago it started acting strangely(buttons wouldn't operate correctly/ would turn on when I put it in the charger and stay on) tried changing to my other battery was fine for a day then same thing. Have to remove battery cap/rear button for it to shut off.

Well I left that shop for a new career in a town near by. Should I see what my independent dealer can do? Or go straight to streamlight? I have a proof of purchase(copy of my account purchases but no true receipt) and all numbers for the light i.e. serial numbers/ model numbers.......

Thanks. I miss using my light

I would check out a cop supply store. They normally can fix them onsite. I am a Matco dealer and I stock parts to fix them. It just needs a new switch assembly.

You've seen this before? Its only been maybe 3 months since I got it lol. Neither switch works right and when it does turn on the light cycles through the different brightnesses, very annoying. I expected better from a $120+ light(kit). And I've bought 2 now

Yeah it will need a new switch assembly I had the same problem with mine a week ago my cornwell dealer swapped it out no problem. U can try local tool trucks most are easy going around my area or if u can be without for a few weeks send it off to streamlight

I'm not in automotive anymore so my box and tools is for home use now. I'll ask my snappy dealer or see what the independent guy from my old shop can do. Thanks
