Streamlight Strion LED

Bought a good working Strion with charger from a pawnshop for $20 over the weekend.
Seems to be a well regarded, tough light.
Anybody have any long term experience with one?

You did well hundred dollar light. I have had one since 2007 heavy use only changed the battery once.

Lights keep getting better and cheaper, so I try not to spend too much or get attached.

Have mine used for Police and EMS work full time since 2012. I charge it about once every two months and love the light output to size ratio. If someone can find a light with that kind of output and better battery life span/charge cycle I would be hard pressed to believe it.

Anything in the last year or so, G2 cree emitter or L2 with lithium should be better. My size of my little finger Olight i3s with a 10440 puts out more light than most older lights.

Same here, great little light. Use mine to work on cars, great size and very bright.

My employer supplies these for the techs at work. I use it everyday. It's a pretty rugged little flash light. I lost mine in a bucket of gear oil one time at work for about 4 hour and it still worked just fine after I wiped all of the oil off. The only gripe I have about it is that the contacts in the flashlight get crud built up over time and it won't charge I spray mine with contact cleaner once a week and it charges just fine.

You use it full time for police/ems work and only charge it once every 2 months?

Do u never use it? My brother is a city cop and charges his strion every day.

The reason I bought a strion is because of him. Seeing how much use it gets and how it keeps going.

I have one for my work on with USAF, gets dark at night when doing preflights and loading the jet up. LED flashlights are making leaps and bounds now, they are dirt cheap.

I really want a strion. I have two stinger LEDs. I'm kind of a flash light junkie. I have multiple rechargeable headlamps boruit. I bought 4 J5 v1pro tactical flashlights from amazon for Christmas gifts and kept one for myself. For 15 bucks 300 lumens low hi strobe. Rugged and runs on one double a Battery check it out
