I placed my order for 4 of them on the 9th and received them today.

They are the 24lumen version and are marked Streamlight Stylus Pro on one side and BSA National Camping School on the other.

At first I was a little disappointed that these are the older 24lu version but considering the price and how I'll use them, I'm more then pleased with them.

I received my four lights today. Unfortunately, one was DOA. It wouldn't light and it would not twist apart so I could replace the batteries. I called Streamlight for ideas and they confirmed these are older style lights. The new lights are brighter and have a knurled surface at the rubber on-off switch. They must have been sitting on the shelf a long time.

She offered some ideas. To get the light apart and replace the battery I had to clamp it in a vise and use vise grip pliers with a rag to protect the aluminum tube while I unscrew it. The batteries leaked and swelled in the tube. They would not come out and the aluminum surfaces were corroded from the acid. I ended it throwing the light away.

One down, three to go.

They seem light nice lights but when you get them, replace the two AAA batteries right away. These lights have been sitting on the shelf a long time.

I ordered 4. 3 worked 1 didn't. I was lucky on my dead one though. I was able to unscrew the cap and the batteries came out fine. The first battery to come out was ok. The second came out fine, but had corrosion. I replaced the batteries and it works fine.

I did better. Ordered eight and all of them worked. Luck of the draw, I guess.

This turned out to be a crappy deal for me. I ordered 3 of them and they all were badly corroded. Manage to get two of them cleaned up well enough to work, but had to throw the 3rd one away. Expiration date on the batteries was 2010, when means these lights had been setting around since at least 1998.

I feel somewhat responsible as the OP for this deal and feel awful some of you guys are having issues with the lights.
Has anybody contacted the seller to communicate the issues they've been having with these lights?

Got my 4 today and all are working well. Haven't taken all of them out of the packaging yet, however.

The light I had trouble with had 2016 expiration batteries. It has 2010 marked on them at the top, but I think that might have been manufacture date. I doubt they used batteries from 1998 even if they could find some.

Same here, mine were all about 2-3yrs old but work great!

Probably could use better batteries but still a great deal.
