Some years ago i bought and installed a street light from Lowes and is a Utilitech brand not sure of model. I installed it on side of the house.Just recently it has been doing some strange things amd wonder why and hope some of you guys know why? It goes off to a dark yellow glow and will blink off and on several times and then goes back to being on. Happens all night and not sure if light is on during the day or not. I dont think it would be the bulb but what about the switch on top? Thanks

If it's HPS then cycling on and off every few minutes is almost certainly the "bulb". What color is the light when it's working? HPS is yellow or orange looking.

Those cheap lights they sell in the box stores aren't worth repairing if there is much wrong. They are pretty poorly made.

Yeah, that’s HPS. It starts out reddish for a moment as it warms. Any time an HPS blinks out, it needs to cool a bit before it relights. You need a new bulb. Just match the base size and wattage.

It's HPS (high pressure sodium). Cycling is the normal failure mode of the lamp.

They don't just burn out. They just cycle on and off more often the longer you leave it.

The wattage is often listed on the socket. Utility grade fixtures would have a yellow tag on the side with the first two digits of the wattage. You must use the correct bulb.

I have owned numerous HPS fixtures, they will cycle just before the bulb stops working. It is best to replace the bulb with an LED bulb. I have gutted a HPS fixture, installed an LED bulb that is designed to run on line voltage and solved the issue.

I'd retrofit to LED or replace it with a new LED light. Energy saving will offset the cost in no time (at least it would here in SoCal).
