They are an advertiser on the GJ homepage. I am considering the 56in 21 drawer combo as maybe a shop box .. To keep the "community" tools in.. Our current one is a 20yr old Homak..that is falling apart. They look, and sound solid on the website ..100lb drawers, 20 ga steel, industrial style wheels, etc... But having never actually seen one.. the $1700 price tag seems too good to be true..? Any body own one, or know anybody that owns one..?

Really happy with my purchase from them. They had very good communication and delivery went without a hitch. The box I got from them is the 55" gatorbuilt which is a slightly stronger version made for them by xtreme. You can check out the xtreme boxes at home depot, but be aware the home depot versions are not as deep as the ones available from strictly toolboxes. Great value and much better built than anything else in the price range.

I have had that very box for some years now, and have been extremely pleased with it. Of course, the price was lower back then, but I would not hesitate to purchase another one if I needed it. ;)

Strictly Toolboexes are great to deal with. I bought the 72" GatorBuilt about 6 months ago and couldn't be happier. Excellent price for a high quality box. Not quite Snappy quality but for 20-25% of the cost it can't be beat. The only poor point is the drawer liners...thin rubber that moves around when drawers are closed but this is a minor, easily fixed problem. I would expect years of service in a commercial shop

You can also check out Rockin' Tool Boxes on Facebook. They sell scratch & dent Extreme Tools cabinets and chests. I just ordered a EX56 combo from them for a great price in "like new" condition.

I'm happy with my 3pc combo. Very nice people to deal with. The only thing I regret is not getting the 72 elite instead. Much better layout and room.

I think I'm sold now! I went into lowes, Home Depot and HF but could find any tool rollaway I'm happy with. My father and I share a $800 snap-on chest and roll away from the 1990s. Damn I should have told him to buy 2.

It doesn't seem they carry these in the store to look at, and beyond that the drawer configuration is nowhere near as nice as the 21 drawer from strictly toolboxes. I just purchased a 56" setup from Menard's a couple of weeks ago when they were on sale simply because I had a massive amount of rebate coupons to use up. To get the configuration I wanted however, I had to get two roller cabinets and one chest cabinet so I had a 22 drawer configuration on my tool combo. The second roller cabinet became a 7 drawer, which is OK because I was thinking of getting a storage cabinet and it will fit the bill.
My point to this is to say that if it weren't for the sale price combined with nearly $700 in rebates i had to use up, it would not have been worth the cost versus the box from strictly toolboxes. YMMV as always...

He says "online only" so I would be surprised if you found them in a store.

I bought two Extreme 42" base boxes and one 42" upper two years ago. I think they are a great value. I like having more taller drawers compared to other brands.

As others have said; price, value and reasonable shipping cost made it an easy decision for me.

From the drawer layout, that appears to be the 25" deep model, not the 30" deep model.

Yep. I just looked after you said that and noticed. Isn't that the odd ball one they don't make a hatch for? I remember looking into it sometime ago and they didnt. That layout in 30inch deep with a hatch would be perfect for me.

I just bought the Tool Vault Elite, which is 30 inches deep. What a great box, and love the depth

Thanks for the reviews, and advice. When i get time tomorrow i'm going to call and see about ordering a Black one for the shop.. We have several forklifts..so shouldn't have to pay the $30 lift gate fee..making shipping free.. Our old Homak has fought a good fight...been a good box..but 20 yrs of being a shop box..receiving no love... It's ready for toolbox Heaven...lol
