I have stripped a majority of the 350 sq foot section using adhesive remover! I have just the edges left to finish up I was wondering what grinding wheels are suitable for this job? Home depot by me has **** for rental tools so Id rather save the cost also and buy a wheel for my 4.5 inch. Right now I've been using a 3 inch wire wheel cup and it is decent but very slow process. Is a diamond wheel to much to just remove a little bit of residue or would I be better off with a tiger paw wheel?

I used to work for a carpet and tile company in the summers while I was in school. I cleaned many a floor with one of these and a putty knife. Might save you wear and tear on your back and knees. I've never seen glue that can't be popped off with one of these bars. Actually I used it on thin-set too when ripping out tile and it was too small of a job to justify setting up the jackhammer.

Jasco epoxy and paint remover with a 10" razor scraper. The guys working on the garage we are at now did that, then wiped with lacquer thinner. Never seen it done that way, and I can guarantee with the prep they are doing, this multi-million dollar home is going to have a terrible problem with the garage floor.

Look into something like a zec brand abrasive disc. It removes carpet glue without gumming too badly, but works great for doing edges. They also sell carpet glue removal cups that make quick work of removal. 7" and 4"

Hi,
Instead of trying to mechanically remove it we offer a mastic softener/remover that you simply roll on and let it dwell for a few hours then it should just scrape right off as a gel. Pour some cat litter or speedy dry type stuff on the gel and just scoop it up and toss the glue away. Much easier on the back too!

After selling close to 40 million square feet of epoxy flooring since 1998 we've seen it all and have solutions for most any prep or coating issue.

Any other tough spots we have an inexpensive diamond cup.

Keep those questions coming guys!

wire wheel in an angle grinder might be good for small spots. I did the chemical remover on a 10 X 12 room got most of it but did not want to use grinder as the old adhesive was asbestos based.
