Not really garage related, but...

We have engineered hardwood flooring that a housekeeper decided to 'wax' a few years ago. It wasn't something we wanted her to do at all.

It's starting wear off in spots and looks pretty crappy and my wife has been trying to strip it with a vinegar solution and a plastic putty knife. She's sorta able to get it off but it's taking forever.

Anyone know of a wax stripper (without a pole, mind you ;)) that would be safe and effective on a wood floor?

TIA

I just went through this ...

Need to find out the product that was used and then contact the mfg to determine how to strip.

Otherwise you could ruin the base floor and poly coating.

The product we used was Rejuvinate. OMG what a mess. Our floor was perfect and my wife didn't realize it was a coating. She thought it was a cleaner like Murphys Oil Soap.

The company provided a stripper (also not a pole oriented one) only after our complaints about the product. The stripper was made to remove the mess. Hence they know their product ***** otherwise why develop a striper (again no pun about stripers sucking).

Wish you well.

Jeff
