After this came to my attention that Strouty has been banned; I decided to make a petition for the Lifting of his ban. Comment below your vote For his return. Simply post "We want Strouty Back!". Nothing more. Thank you for your support and vote.

They just did this to Monte as well. Hence why some of us have been spending our time on alternative tool forums with less activist moderators.

Edit: just adding, he was eventually unbanned, but the action should've never occurred to begin with.

Another........"Why was they banned" request. That's 5 requests for info as to why and 2 requests to bring whatever his name was back on here. Current score 5-2........ info please?

Giving a reason would provide for a more educated decision to support or not. That is why I asked. The PM i received informed me to simply blindly give my support.

He is welcomed back... he just needs to email me. He's been told and he knows what's up...

Either he wanted to be banned or someone got into his account. His last dozen posts or so were attacking another member... and as you guys know, we don't really host that kind of stuff.

Seemed out of character for him.

I have never seen him post anything that would cause this. WTF did he do? With all the issues in the world today this is a place we all seem to play in peace

I agree. That's why his account was banned. Essentially, he started attacking another user with multiple posts. We asked him to stop... and he continued attacking the user.

Doesn't seem like him. I'm thinking something is up?

In any case, I left him a note to email me...

Obviously, we don't host the name calling stuff on a forum... about tools and garages.

Any off topic posts do get dealt with quickly and as Ryan stated many of the posts are not what we would have expected from him and why we believe something is wrong or his account access hacked.

Let's give this scenario a thought... he has not been himself for whatever reason but needs some time to cool off a bit. Doubt somebody got in his account... I just think he truly needs a few days of intensive hugs.

I for one miss him and want him to return... in whatever state mindset he is in... provided forum decorum <--- I always wanted to say that ---> is in tune with Ryan.

"decorum" is a great word - right?

My thoughts... I haven't investigated an account hack, but can do that pretty easily. If someone else logged into his account from another computer, I can find that out with 100% certainty with an hour or so of work. But if that was case, why hasn't he emailed me?

More than likely, something is up with him... I'm betting this is the case... and that's why this thread is disappointing. I would rather keep this whole deal quiet for Strouty's sake cuz if he is just having a rough time right now, that's not something that should be public knowledge and posted about.

Everyone has bad days. I get that. We have users get banned almost weekly for drama, calling people names, etc... we also give second chances pretty regularly. Obviously, Strouty would get the benefit of the doubt.

At the end of the day, sometimes running these forums really *****.

Good to know how you approach this kind of thing. I don't know of Strouty so I can't comment on him.

FWIW, thank you for what you do, keep up the good work. My next Bud will be for . . . well me really - but I think of you. :)

We all had are bad days and just slightest thing just sets us off. It's an Internet form that it is tough to read how someone is coming off, things can be misinterpreted, which can set anybody off. Better just to let things cool off and Ryan and Strouty can talk it out.

Ill just say that id like strouty back if he wants to come back. My impression of strouty is he is a great guy and it seems out of character for him to get into a ******* match. Lets hope cooler heads prevail.

I would also like to see Strouty come back if he wants. I will miss his daily updates on his shop progress. I did not post much on it but did enjoy the progress he was making on it!

Monte posted something overtly political in a forum that doesn't allow politics. He's been here a while, so I'm guessing he knows better than that. If he didn't know, he does now.

Nothing "activist" about that temp ban to me. He violated a clear rule and got a short vacation. I once let a troll bait me into an arguing match and I got a one day ban. I learned my lesson and won't do it again.

This is actually one of the better moderated forums, in my opinion.

He's back now, so it's all good. Don't break the rules and you won't get banned.

I for one support the decisions made by the mods and Ryan. It is their forum and because of their rules, it runs well and is a pleasure to visit.

Good job in general. This post has nothing to do or imply with or about Strouty's situation, just a kudos for the forum leaders.

Strouty has been all over the map for about a year now. He took 3 months off from here to try and sort things out. Time will tell.
Unfortunately I have watched many long time members go ballastic on here one day out of the blue and go to banned camp.

So... turns out all of these "attacks" on Tampa weren't attacks at all. In fact, Strouty and Tampa were buddies of sorts and he was essentially just joking around.

So... net/net... this was entirely my fault.

Sorry fellas.
