Some of the sheets of foam board I picked up today were 1" structural foam. The foam is attached to about 1/8" of some kind of white fiber board. I'm not sure how strong it is, but I was wondering if it could be used on my ceiling instead of OSB. I plan to use 2' centers, and a vapor barrier, on top of which goes the blow in insulation. I have about enough for half of my project.

I see I never asked my question! I was just wondering if the structrual foam would be strong enough on 2' centers to support cellulose at about 10-12". I think it would be easier to work with than osb. I have just never had any experience with it.

sounds like it will work well. i used 3/4" foil faced insulboard on ceiling of my shop(framed 2' o.c.), then 12" insulsafe 3. that was in 1992. also have a chrome ceiling that reflects light as a bonus.
