I have a 36X40 metal building that has the sliding type implement doors and I want to put in a roll up door so I can better seal the building. The problem is when the building was built it doesn't seem like there was any rhyme or reason to the spacing of the vertical support beams. The issue is one door opening is 7', one is 9' and the space in between is 9'. I think I need a wider door than 9'. So, do I need a wider door on a building that is going to be a shop for working on cars? If so, how can I go about making one of the openings wider? All the vertical supports were sunk in the ground before the pad was poured. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
