If you are planning a sub panel then you need a Grounding Electrode System. Two ground rods works or a Ufer.

Your ground rods must have their entire 8' length in earth. No part of it can stick up out of the ground or be embedded in concrete. We usually drive two rods outside, then we'll bring the wire from the rods and ziptie it up the side of the conduit feeding the panel.

#6 copper ground wire can go thru your wall to get to the ground rods. (Doesn't have to be in conduit) Use the clamps that force the copper wire tight to the ground rod. Not the ones that have a set screw style where you put the wire thru a separate hole. I just went thru my sub panel rough in inspection. Ready for final now.
