Let's Talk Cheap!!!

Harbor Freight will sell you a 3 Pc Stubby Ratchet SET, for $11.99...

HF # 46742...

You can find non-flexer's on the Net by searching "Stubby Ratchet Set", or "3 Pc Stubby Ratchet Set"...

Since the torque load on these is minimal, I imagine a set from HF will do the deed just fine...

Why do we make something difficult, out of something easy???

****, I forgot I had that set. Sure does reduce the need for new German goodness...

i understand that they are not machining the smaller frames to support the larger mechanisms. ...
but what about other brands?

examples are already noted upthread. hazet does this. snap on stopped. warranty is an issue why they are probs not on the market with usa/lifetime warantee brands.

The thing to remember with those HF ratchets, since they only sell as a set...
When you want to exchange a broken one, they usually want you to bring in all 3.

I'd cut down a quality, name brand ratchet before buying those HF ratchets. Then again, I'm a HF hater.

I've had one for a while, comes in handy at times. Mine is a no name flex handle, no idea where I got it, suspect it came with a tool box purchase some time ago. Decent quality, fairly nice ratchet action, and has detents for the flex handle.
