I've been looking for a Stubby/Short 24mm wrench for a couple weeks now.

I know SK has one (SKT88124). I've looked everywhere for one but it's usually OOS. Ordered from 3 different places now and they're all on backorder. No ETA on them.

Snapon makes one but I think it's like $60. Haven't seen anything from Mac or Matco.

Anyone know where I can find the SK wrench or any USA made alternatives?

Ray,
An alternative would be 15/16". Often easier to source.
Close enough to not matter.

Why don't you cut a wrench in half and make your own? Just a thought.

I agree cutting a cheap throw away wrench down with no warranty on it.This is one thing the cheap throw away wrenches made in China and India including Taiwan are good for.

Well, I don't have one to cut up so rather than going out and buying a 24mm wrench and cutting it up. I'd rather get one that fits my needs and be done with it.

Unless I can't find one then that's a different story.

I have never seen one that big. It would be horribly inefficient to use. Big fatener and not much leverage behind a short wrench.

Any longer would make it useless to me.

I need it to change engine oil pressure switches and they aren't torqued down too much anyway.

What are people using these stubby 24s for? Curiosity and the cat and all.

A service wrench is another option at long as it's low torque. I bought a set from HF for $15 or so. They are thin and short, just what I needed in my case.

My Dad has used a 24mm on hydraulic lines for a Ponsee harvester.

I used my 1-1/8 the other day changing an air valve on a trailer.

I'm assuming you've checked Amazon.com for the nice SK stubby, but if not, check back every so often, they pop up once in a while...they're not always listed individually, but when I was shopping, each diff. size would pop up once in a while. Sometimes with a sale price too.

Thanks last time I checked it was unavailable through Amazon but now it says they have 1 in stock. I'm going to give it one last try before I go with the Craftsman.

4th times the charm. My amazon order was just shipped.

Hopefully I can cancel my other order. I don't want to end up with two heh.
