I've decided the next tool I'm going to save up for is a stubby 3/8" drive ratchet. I know there is one from Gear Wrench. I've also found Facom and Nepros offer versions both for just south of $50. The snap-on version comes in at $80.

Any recommendations on these or options that I haven't found yet?

Just to broaden your search, I use my SK 1/4" ratchet with a 3/8" drive end commonly known as a compact 3/8" probably 10 to 1 to my stubby 3/8" ratchet. Just my $0.02. Sk also makes a stubby 3/8", just another ooption to your list.

I suppose I fall into the camp of people who don't have much use for a stubby ratchet. I had the SK version but found it to be too short to ever allow enough torque to loosen stubborn bolts.

I love my comfort grip great neck. $5 at a pawn for me. Not worried about it breaking since you don't apply high torque to them anyways.

I have a 3/8" stubby flex craftsman pro and its one of my most used ratchets for powersports applications. Don't use it much for auto work though. I just bought my first snap-on ratchet and will be buying more. May have to give that fc72 a whirl but I really like the way the flex head fits in my palm. I have had this ratchet for 15 years, so maybe I have just grown fond of it :).

I threw this contraption together from spare parts I had. (I think it was a Stanley head with an old Plomb handle). With both 1/4 and 3/8 drive heads, it's pretty versatile. And it's about as short as most 1/4 rats, so, t has done an OK job for me.

Snap On FCF72. 3/8 Drive flex head in a 1/4" drive body. Probably the most versatile ratchet I have. I think they're on sale this month too.

With a stubby only reason for 3/8 is so you can use a 3/8 socket that is handy, I typically work from 1/4 unless I need more torque, where a stubby wouldn't work anyway. HF swivel head stubby gets a lot of use.

Hmm, maybe it isn't as handy as I thought. I was thinking of the areas where you can basically just get your hand in but need a bit more torque than just fingers can manage.
