In my latest estate-sale scavenger hunt I picked up a very nice stubby 3/8 and 1/2 ratchet with "MAX03-32J" emblazoned on it, with no other makers marks (back side is blank).

It's a nicely done ratchet, with 80+ teeth.

I've searched here and online and come away empty handed. I'm always curious about where my tools came from, so if anyone can enlighten me it would be much appreciated!

Looks like the handle came from Morocco and the head is from the North Atlantic Ocean........says it right on the map......

I have a ratchet that looks just like yours. It was originally a stubby dual drive ratchet with a plastic/rubber slip on handle, but the handle part eventually started moving around on the chrome shaft during use so that part was removed and thrown away years ago. I don't remember what specific brand my ratchet was originally sold as (there are many versions out there and almost all are Taiwan or China made), because that info was part of the now missing handle.

Ahh that makes sense, thanks! It's a surprisingly well built little ratchet. Nothing fancy, but very pleasing action.
