What do you call a stud that has coarse threads on one end and fine threads on the other? I call them carburetor studs. McMaster Carr apparently calls them something else. - Tom

I followed your link and did not see the studs I'm looking for. They are the same thread on both ends.

I think most people call them water pump studs (fine thread in the pump flange and coarse thread for the nuts that hold the fan clutch) but not in the size you're looking for.

I wore myself out on McMaster Carr's website with no success. I finally spoke to one of their sales people, and was told they don't sell such a stud. So I'm stuck with Mack, at $20 each. Thanks for all your help. - Tom
