Stud remover/setter tool info

I have one of these VIM stud remover/setter tool. I have no idea how it works. Thought I'd ask here. Any ideas or pics how this thing works?

My guess is that the serrated piece is tapered and you put it into the hole at the end and push it against the bolt/stud and then install the tool over the bolt and as you turn the tool with a ratchet it will bite into the bolt/stud and remove it. I've only used the Snap-on version of that style.

do a Google search for stud removal tool under videos and see if any of them help you out. Here's a snap on one I linked above. Should be similar operation.

Yup, that's it. I've got almost the same tool, but mine is a Plomb. The Plomb also has a threaded hole on the side with a bolt that apparently keeps the wedge from moving.
