I am going to tech school in the fall and my school gets the student discounts from snap on... How do I find out exactly what they are?

It's usually 50%. But just call and ask to be sure.

I emailed my school and snap on to see what they say because when I get my ID I'm going to buy the rest of the stuff I need, is the discount only able to be used online or off of a snap on truck too?

Does anyone know if you just take a few classes and not necessarily go for a degree in said field if you would be eligible?

Some auto classes have always been on my bucket list, mainly auto-body though.

I heard you had to be enrolled full time for the one for Snap on but I am not 100% sure though

When I went through tech school the so guy had an office on campus and would stop by a couple times a week, so I would just order from him. Also the discount was for certain things not everything in the catalog, might be different now though.

I will be starting tech school soon, and plan to enroll in some programs. I have seen lennoxlennox's thread before and it is a HUGE help.

The discount is roughly % 50, but you cant buy everything they offer at that discount. There is a web site specific to the discount. It includes a lot of tools, but its not every snapon tool made. You have to set up an account with a user name and password and order from there. And you don't have to be a full time student, I'm only part time and have been taking advantage of the discounts lately.

Im currently in school and we have to be full time to get the discount with SO and matco. We also cant order from the trucks we have to order online or through the district manager.

I took a class but switch to engineering. Want to make my own products in the automotive industry. I apply for them, worst case they say no.

My son went through the high school auto tech program here and this was enough to qualify him for the 50% discount with Mac. When he started, I looked into the Snap On deal but it was for full time students only. So no-go on a high school kid going 2.5 hours a day. Never looked into any other brands.

For Mac you deal directly with the folks in Ohio. Fax in the order and in a couple of days the tools arrive. They specifically state the offer is not valid on the truck.

He graduated last year so no more deals for me...
