Pretty amazing stuff there. Those guys were no joke. Did I hear right? Did that narrator say "soon she'll be running at over 80 miles an hour?" Holy cow, they used to run freight trains that fast?

Very cool video. I'm amazed at all those guys working in the foundry with zero safety equipment. Noone had the sense to put on some safety glasses and gloves?

I am "one of those guys" having served my Apprenticeship in Railways workshops a long time ago.Everything was the same, I can smell the smoke when I watch the rods being milled....
The princess Royals were quite capable of 120MPH.:beer:

I bet you had to be tough as nails to operate in a foundry/factory environment like that, that long ago. WOW!

My grandfather went to work every day in a sheet metal shop in a suit and tie. When he got there he hung up his coat, put on an apron and sleeve protectors and kept the tie on. He carried his lunch in a brief case. Men took pride in their apperance back then. I'm not sure safety was the first thing on their mind.

That video was amazing. Watching the men around the 8 ton hammer was scary. I must admit, the blacksmith with the handlebar mustache was my favorite. :)
