I keep seeing this everywhere in the Internet (even here), thinking "wow, that a lot of features for the money!" :rolleyes2

Thought it looked familiar then remembered I purchased the HF Zurich ZR15s on special some time ago. Dug out the manual and I think it is more-or-less the same. I've used it only a few time, luckily no ODBII errors (mainly for checking charging systems). Only vehicles I own are gen 1 Silverados and '14 Highlander.

Now I wish I have more vehicles to test with it :lol

Come on over, haha. You can scan my car.
Do scan tools like those let you view individual sensor output? It's not really clear from the instruction manual.
I want to see the output from the knock sensor on my Mazda. Unfortunately, it's buried under the intake manifold, so I can't probe it.
I have an old OWC9575 scan tool
which does codes, freeze data, and some live data, but not specific sensors. I can see:

  • EVAP PURGE(%)
  • EVAP VP(H2O)
  • CMD EQ RAT
  • CLR DIST(mi)
  • CLR TRPS
  • FUEL LEVEL(%)
  • VPWR(V)
  • ENG RUN(m:s)
  • ABS TPS B(%)
  • ACC POS D(%)
  • ACC POS E(%)
  • CAT TEMP11 (F)
  • EGR CMD(%)
  • EVAP PURGE(%)
  • EVAP VP(H20)
  • CMD EQ RAT
  • ST SEC FT3(%)
  • LT SEC FT3(%)
  • VEH SPEED(MPH)
  • ABS LOAD(%)
  • FUEL SYS 1
  • FUEL SYS 2
  • REL TPS(%)
  • THROT CMD(%)
  • COOLANT (F)
  • IAT(F)
  • IGN ADV
  • ST FTRM1(%)
  • LT FTRM1(%)
  • ST SEC FT1(%)
  • LT SEC FT1(%)
  • ST SEC FT3(%)
  • TROUB CODE
  • ABSLT TPS(%)
  • ENG SPEED(rpm)
  • BARO PRS("hg)
  • CALC LOAD(%)
  • MAF(LB/M)
  • MAP("hg)
  • OUT TEMP(F)

What more do you get for $300? I don't think HF sells that scanner any more, and the cheapest bidirectional option is $450.

Maybe its dependent on the particular vehicle and what system information is makes available

For instance,I can pull up the TPMS on my 2014 Highlander, but it doesn’t really have much useful information in it.

Other /newer vehicles might offer more info.

Th world's fastest OBDII scanners ? For $349 it need to be wireless and monitor your vehicle 24/7... it does get good reviews.

Get a kick out of "One-time purchase with lifetime access to all features", that what my last scanner stated..within 3 years my last one had no updates for my new vehicle, another technology brick I own.

Have a Rav4 2026, mine show individual tire pressure. My older Tacoma, no deal.

I just retired (again) from the automotive repair, parts and service industry. I have a $53 Matco code reader (purchased in 2011) and have almost always been successful with diag's for customers. The secret is;

"if parts are falling off the car as it pulls into your workspace, push it out, don't drive it out and tell the folks to burn it to the ground"
LMAO

I just had to pay $87 to get a shop to recalibrate a brake light switch on my wife's Buick. I wonder if this scanner would handle tasks like that? I should have just bought something like this, I'd be a quarter of the way to paying for it...
