got my VCT installed, and stripped. now ready to do sealer and wax. using ZEP products from home depot.

the instructions say to use a rayon mop. I cant find one locally to save my life. in researching, most guys just post that they mopped it on, not what kind of mop.

so, what kind of mop? I live in a small town, so limited availability of stuff. also, any processes to use to build up my sealer/wax combo better for wear resistance?

Its just an acrylic floor finish... I used a different brand but you can see the type of mop we used here. Got it in the industrial cleaning aisle of Lowes

Those as-seen-on-tv orange Shamwow towels are rayon (if you're familiar with them).
Rayon mops are made from strips of this material (the aqua ribbons in the video linked above), as opposed to mops that use cotton yarns, or microfiber tendrels, or sponge.

Had to work out of town today. Stopped by home depot over lunch and found rayon mops in the closeout bin for three bucks. So I bought four.

At the last building we were in we had VCT in the office area. I used the Zep products also and just used a cheap cotton mop to apply them. Can imagine why they say to use rayon ?

Do yourself a favor and skip home depot products. Go to a local man san net a 25% thermoplastic floor finish. And a finish mop. Most have a blue strip on each strand.
