Was curious if it was acceptable. I have a 200a house panel with the old 100a house panel as a sub in the garage. Wanted to know if it was acceptable to run a 60 from the garage to the new garage or would I need to come from the house. Easier access and empty spaces in the current garage panel. Looks to be ok from what I can tell...according to what I found online anyway. If it's on the net it must be true.:lol_hitti I'm not up on current Michigan residential codes. (separate ground and neutral buss and install ground rods at each buildings panel.)

Cant remember exactly where i saw it. If any licensed MI electricans can verify it would be appreceated.

There are no NEC restrictions on the actual fact of running a subpanel from a subpanel. You just need to follow the proper installation requirements and overall load limitations.
