Sub panel in garage with external conduit under eaves?

I have attached a pic that hopefully explains what I am thinking about.

The panel is on the far side of the house from the garage, with a living room with vaulted ceiling in between. No way new wire is getting run inside the house.

But can I run a conduit up from the main panel, up the wall, then sideways under the eaves, and into the wall of the garage?

The electrical in my house is terrible, with only the 220v for the dryer, and 1 120v outlet behind the washing machine, another high on a side wall, and 1 in the ceiling for the garage door opener.

I would like to be able to have a few 220v circuits for my Powermatic 64a saw, and my Quincy compressor, and a future 220v welder, as well as a few outlets for dust colletion and other tools.

I had conduit run from the outside of my main panel next to the meter down and around the house at the junction of the siding to foundation. This put it 18" above ground level in a sealed conduit. It was simple, easy, and blends in with the siding.

Ever thought about underground? Since the house in the photo looks newer, UG would be much better looking, but if your in the Natomas area the soil is crappy & will not be fun to dig. I did a service change in Rio Linda (get rid of a Zinsco) that was a PITA to drive just 1 ground rod, took two hours w/ a large electric demo hammer.

I am indeed in South Natomas and the 'soil' is horrible.
I can add water and spin pots with it, there's so much clay.
This is a slab foundation, and the conduit would have to run thru a flower bed that already has water pipes running in it, and would then have to tunnel under the front walkway. Just not a reasonable amount of work.

A 1.5" conduit pipe can be pretty well hidden under the eaves, and when painted to match would be no more unsightly than cable/tv/phone wires.

I could pop it right into the garage and drop down a few feet directly into a small sub panel.

Here is what mine looks like. This is on the back of my house so the dog leg doesn't bother me at all. we will be replacing the siding and soffit this fall so the conduit will go into the wall and up into the soffit area.
