It is 12-2. I'm look tomorrow if NM or NM-B. I grabbed a piece of scrap lying around for a temp receptacle - it's not 6" from panel. Not planned to stay there but wanted to test panel and feed. Planning lighting and outlets starting now. I know what I want where, it's about appearance and wiring method. I want any Romex not visible so plan to use EMT. It's all about the look for me. I'd use rigid with all threaded fittings if I had time, tools, and money. :)

3 in rigid conduit which serves as the ground from main panel at the sub panel. Cleared in advance with electrical inspector.

(A little more complicated. Existing 4 - no 6 copper - all black and tape marked part way across dwelling to a PVC box; 6-6-6-6 copper SER to a steel R3 box on dwelling foundation; then the three no. 6 copper THHN/THWN in 1" rigid. Yes there's a ground bushing in the steel R3.)
