Sub Panel Yes or No?

I have a new room addition at the back of my house. I need to add two 20 amp circuits
and one 240v 10 amp circuit. My breaker box is in the garage at the opposite end of
the house. I have room in the box for the additional circuits but I would have to run
at least 60 feet of wire in the attic to reach the room.
Would it be better for me to run one heavier line to a sub panel in the room or
three separate lines from the breaker box to the room? Working in my attic is not easy.

What is running 240v @ 10 amps?

A Ham Radio Power Amplifier. The specs say 240v at 7 amps or 120v at 14 amps.
A sub panel would ultimately cost more, but the installation would be neater and easier.

I had a whole thing written, but scrapped it for the question of how well would your new AFCI breakers play with you ham radio?

If you need separation of space between your transmitter and main panel, it might not be a great idea to run a sub panel. It might be just as easy to pull 3 12awg romex lines as it would be to pull some service lines.

I'll let the other guys talk you in to / out of a sub-panel or using MWBCs or whatever. Depending on permits and code cycles, AFCI might be required.
