Need some help figuring this out. I've had a lot of rain here lately so the soil is soft. I've use the skid steer to scrape it down around a foot. I got around 3 ton of sand to pack in around the edges of the footings. I may rent a roller/******** to pack it even more. I'm going to use crushed concret but i don't know what sizes to get and how to layer them. Any help would be great. I'm trying to do the whole process myself

Start with your largest chunks first and work toward smaller aggregate. You want your finer stuff to fill the voids between the larger chunks so they become stabilized. You want enough cover that the base course is not driven on directly and you don't accidently catch any with a grading blade. My driveway has recycled concrete cobbles for the base, they are in the 3-6" range, maybe 6-8" thick.
