Just moved into a house with 2.5 car detached. Previous owner only ran a 30a 120v circuit. Trying to upgrade to 240v 60A panel for the welder.

Main panel is on opposite side of the house, 50' run inside, 20' run outside, and 5' inside detached garage. So I figured 100' of 6/3 UF would be plenty. And I wouldnt have to mess with conduit, etc.

Turns out I'm 10' short. What should I do?
Thinking splice it?

Install an accessible box and splice in the box.

Either a box on the house/in the house, or new wire.

Where are the dimensions off? Any chance of changing the run to find 10'.

If you put the box inside, you can switch to nm-b. If you do it outside, I would run conduit anyway for that short distance. Then you can use thhn

Miss calculated and got bit.. Live and Learn.

Buy new wire.

If the wire is already run, that is easier said than done. Why undo all of it if it is a relatively simple junction, plus 6/3 uf isn't cheap

Are you certain that you received the 100ft that you purchased? It seems unlikely that you would be 35 ft off on a 75 ft measurement.
