My sprayer control on the tractor has been having problems almost since I bought it with the glass fuse being loose in the fuse holder and overheating. Is there any reason I can't pull the holder out and wire in a mini fuse holder with a cover instead? It seems like it would be a lot more secure going across rough ground.

Yes you can....but make sure you get a good inline fuse holder....I had one on my jeep many many moons ago for the fan...it melted on day on the trail.

I would suggest using the type of inline fuse that uses the newer blade style fuses. The wires are molded into the body and less likely to have a bad connection. The body has a cap that covers the fuse.

Just don't do what the Previous Owner of my 1969 F100 did and put a .22 bullet in place of the glass fuse.
