I find the Garage Journal forum is a pretty handy resource for tool repair issues. I propose the site also offer a sub-folder for appliance repair!
I am aware of three great online forum-style resources dedicated to appliance repair that have shuttered recently: Appliance Blog; Appliance Repair Forum; and Appliance911. I'm certain there are others. Another useful site, dedicated to providing appliance manufacturer information by serial number, has gone to a pay-per-use model.
With the Right-to-Repair laws constantly stymied in state legislatures by monied interests, these sites are Indispensable resources for the those of us used to repairing our own stuff. This is where established sites—like Garage Journal here—can pitch in and pick up the slack. This site is already an established online tool repair resource. I propose it extend its mission in a similar vein to serve as a resource for appliance repair.
