Just an update that gave me a good laugh. I was watching a video of a rebuild of a Kawasaki Brute Force engine for another issue. I found a guy that knew what he was doing. He mentioned that the adjusters were different than other manufacturers. He solved the problem by bending a square head deck screw that fit right on it.

So he used a robertson screw to adjust them? That's cool, and good to know.

HAHA , we have to keep everybody happy here . :canada:
Always thought it was cool you could drive 100mph on the 401 until my friend pointed out it was in KPH. It really slowed down our time going to Mosport back then. :D

Mosport , wow I used to go there in the 70's , back then it was MPH.
That was my favorite track. I used to follow the Can-Am Group-7 cars. Also, the Canadian Gran Prix was still there. Camping in the infield was great. :D

you can grind a slot in the end of a bolt to turn the square headed adjustment screws. That screw looks a lot like the APT adjustment on a Quadrajet carburetor and that's how you turn that. Take a 1/4 X 20 bolt and a cut off wheel and grind a slot in the end of the bolt that will fit over the square adjustment screw. use a 1/4 drive 7/16" socket to turn the slotted bolt.

This is the tool that's designed for the job, if you have room for it.

Dude, you've got all kinds of space compared to many other machines.

I've used this tool many times on motorcycle engines with far, far less clearance than in those photos.

Some folks have made a tool using the head of a Robertson screw.
