This might sound somewhat unorthodox but I thought I might put it out there for some feedback:

Suppose for a moment we had a post whereby everyone could enter their name and maybe list a few tools that they like to collect. Kind of like the recent post by Mrholeshot "when it comes to tools what is your weakness".

I understand you can place a WTB for tools/or you can buy tools,or sell tools for that matter.

But just suppose as a seller you have an old yankee drill and you found that poster *** cannot resist old yankee drills,he or she could always post it for sale,but maybe they might have more luck if they contacted poster *** to see if they wanted it first.

Well just a thought I think some big stores try this on customers everyday,if My idea sounds off the wall then I guess plan B is to post in the classified section.

I don't see why you'd need permission to start a post. If you wanted it to be a sticky, that would be different.

That's a prety good idea. A lot of guys have the "I'm looking for this tool" in their signature tag and It would be great to have them all in one place to reference as a seller.

I agree-let's make that a sticky for the classifieds. Disclosure-I sell tools here on a semi-regular basis. So I DO have a dog in this fight.
