Hi, new user here. I am a weekend mechanic and am looking to buy a compressor. The main goal is to use impact wrenches and other air tools on a car. Never used a compressor before, but seems that 5cfm at 90PSI is a must.
Have narrowed the choices down to a DEWALT 15-Gal. Portable Electric Compressor (Model #D55168) which is available at my local HD. Just noticed that there is a smaller version that is also capable of 5cfm at 90PSI but with a much smaller tank (4.5 vs 15 gal).
As an amateur do I need the bigger tank? This isn't as much about money (only $40 difference) or noise (they are rated the same at 78 db) just wanted to get more informed about my choices.
Much appreciate any answer.
