Hey guys,
I am getting ready to put a couple more outlets in my single car garage. I have a duplex so i am not going all out on outlets for a house i am not going to keep for a long time. Do any of you have a recomended brand or style of the external busway? Any comments would be appreciated:thumbup:

You can get a product from the HD or Lowes that is surface mount and low profile. They also have the boxes. The name has totally escaped me at this time, but it is in the electrical section and is an ivory in color.

It will allow you to chase the wires on the outside of the drywall and yet still be within code.

I looked into that stuff when I was adding some lights above my workbench. It is ridiculously expensive for what it is! I ended up using good old metal conduit and metal junction boxes. No, it's not pretty, but WAY cheaper than that on-wall raceway stuff. Paint the conduit and boxes white or almond or whatever, and you're in business.

You're probably thinking of Wiremold.

I am not sure the Panduit stuff is rated for high voltage stuff. There is not much physical protection there.

I'm not sure what you mean by high voltage, but most Panduit nonmetallic raceway is UL listed for up to 600 volts.

By high voltage, I mean not low voltage. :) Like not network, phone, etc...

I did not know it was rated for 600V. Good to know, but I am still concerned about the physical protection. I will have to check it out. I like panduit products.
