I want to build a carport in front of my garage, attached to the eves, which are 8' from the concrete. The driveway has a good slope to it, so it could likely still be 8' at the far edge. I made a quick paint sketch of what the area looks like. I want at least 14-16 feet of coverage from the garage and just a couple of feet shy of the width of the garage. I want the posts at the front edge to be at the far edges of the driveway so as not to take any floor space away from the driveway. You guys have any suggestions as to how to do this or which vendors can supply the materials. I found one place that makes some aluminum stuff which looks like wood. http://www.patios2go.com/patiocovers.html
Since my garage is so small, I like to pull the cars into the driveway to work on them, so I would like to be out of the rain in winter and sun in summer. Also, I would be able to park my 71 Chevy truck out of the elements.
Thanks guys!!
