Suggestions on fixing small hole in plastic

I have a reverse osmosis system in my house and have no need for the carbon filter in the fridge. I drilled out the carbon (not a quick process) and ended up putting a small hole in the filter housing. I was thinking about pouring some pvc glue inside the plastic to seal the hole.

Anyone have any other suggestions that can handle the pressure?

super glue with baking soda? for a small hole apply the super glue and sprinkle on the baking soda. if its a larger sized hole put a piece of tape as a backing and put in dry baking soda with the tape holding it in place. pour the super glue onto the dry baking soda and it will turn into a solid piece, when applying the super glue do it fast and use a lot it needs to penetrate the full depth of baking soda and since it almost instantly hardens you can't go back and add more a soild shell will form. don't worry about the shape if it looks messy, you can knock it down with a file or sandpaper.

Is the filter housing a permanent part of the filter, or is it a disposable filter? Replace the filter if it's disposable.

Our GE came with a block-off piece if we didn't want to use a filter.

Unfortunately they don't make a bypass for my model fridge. That was my first thought. It is a replaceable filter housing so am thinking I might just get another one to hollow out and be more careful.

Buy a new filter, but don't bother hollowing it out. It won't hurt anything having the carbon in it.

The pressure is low after it goes through the ro so the extra filter does make a difference and I don't want to be replacing a 30 dollar filter twice a year for no reason.

This, or alternatively use soldering iron to melt the hole in the plastic housing close. Other pieces of plastic like coat hangers / bottle tops can be used as filler
