Wasn't interested in them, but while perusing eBay, I found this China seller, selling 'Unbranded' line wrenches, obviously forged in China, but the last picture at the bottom of their eBay page shows 3 wrenches stamped with 'USA' !:~\

Some of the other pic's are showing 'Hong Tu' & 'Keycon', but I can't make out what looks like a brand name on the 3 (with USA) in bottom pic..

Anyways, looks like counterfeits....that are stamped 'USA' !

. . scroll way down to bottom picture.

I have a Carlyle set, and in the last thread on the topic a number of folks said they were an outstanding alternative to SO if you didn't want to (or couldn't) drop the coin.

Good closure, tight - virtually zero slop

My set doesn't have 7/8 - not sure if they make one or not.

Thank you very much, M635_Guy. ;) Is Carlyle one of those Napa house brands? Thought I saw them once there, not sure. Thanks very much for your post and recommendation! Will check them out.

I have some craftsman professionals, as well as Armstrong and USA made Husky that get the job done.

I had some off brand china ones and they are junk! Got some used sk. A regular open ended craftsman wrech works better that the china flare nut wrenchs. I do have a performance tool one that seems fine though but its alot thicker than the other china ones

Thanks, Fialaja and josh, that's good to know.

I have a Flare Wrench sizes question:

For typ DIY brake work on family vehicles, what sizes are the most commonly needed, in metric? Is 8 or 9mm thru 14mm typ enough sizes for most brake jobs and/or mstr cylinder work? Are the 15mm & up sizes typ ever needed?

e.g. -- Our Dodge Ram 1500 has:
• 11mm bleeder screws
• 12mm mstr cylinder line nuts
• 12mm line nuts at line splitter/diaphragm thing-a-ma-bob
• 13mm mstr cyl to vacuum boost mounting nuts

. . . so is 15mm & up typ ever needed anywhere else? Many thanks for any&all replies. ;-)

I work on multiple vehicles that are personal cars/trucks. If metric usually 10-12 & 13-14 those have covered most everything I need. I wait and buy the wrenches when I need them. Like oh I’m planning on doing my brakes I get the wrench size if I don’t own it while buying the parts.

You could do a 9-11, 10-12, 13-14 and be set for a while

Thanks very much, chappys. That what I was figuring too. I took your suggestion and snagged a couple on ebay. ;) Just didn't know if I might ever need the: 15x17, 16x18, 19x21.

Awesome! Glad you got them. Honestly I think it’s pretty rare for those sizes. Why for a home mechanic I don’t see buy the whole set

I have SK and they have never let me down. I live in Michigan so I don't have high expectations.

I think it's Napa's premium line, but definitely Napa.
