Members trade a lot on here, never heard anything negative, I'm not sure what you are asking. If it were a member on here that has a 100 or more posts or has been here for awhile I'd say we send at the same time, if it's a new member he can send first because I have references on here.

actually a trade is quite easy. the hard part is wether you know the person well enough. i have done several trades. find out how long they have been a member, how many posts they have, maybe even ask for a referance. all things should be agreed with between parties up front. that said i have done a trade or two without the other person knowing what i will send. i often send something a little extra, special or more valuable along. i often do that even if they agree on a strict trade. i have also sent another gift after the fact if i think i have gotten a little better deal than them. good will goes a long way. i have a trade or two i need to finish but have not because neither of us really need it or are in a hurrry. trading is more fun than buying or selling. just remember you are still taking a chance and you have to live with your deal as you have no recourse.

I've had pretty good luck with trades. Most people around here seem to be honest and well mannered enough. Generally we hammer out a deal (you get a bag of rocks from me and send your pristine set of gold plated snap on one off extra extra long zero offset super high performance turbocharged wrenches).. then you both drop em in the mail/ups/etc.. then away you go!

Trading and selling on the internet is a chance taken by both parties. Never traded on here but I used to collect/trade hotwheels over the internet. The shipping type and send date(due to work schedules, soccer practice etc...) were always agreed upon up front. We always got our stuff about the same time. Never got burned and never burned anyone. I have sold some things on here and have to say everyone has been great to deal with. If nothing else, exchange cell numbers.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up. David B and I just finished a trade here on GJ and that's exactly how we did it. David is a great guy and I'd trade/buy/sell with him any time. Oh yeah, it's very good protocol to keep in touch with each other during the transaction. I was a little slow on the draw because of our tsunami warning, but I let David know I was still on the job.
