This is a new build that hasn't been started yet so a clean slate.

Garage is 34x26 and it attached to the house. What do you guys suggest for lighting and flooring? The garage will be used as a garage and I will be installing my 4 post lift when its done.

I am picturing a nice clean drywalled garage with maybe a border around it with possible a BMW logo somewhere and a work bench. Other then the lift, and have a good size 5 hp compressor that needs to find a home as well.

Any pics would be cool too.

Thanks guys!

Rick.

Might be better to place separate posts in each of the lighting and flooring sections. probably get more results.

Welcome to the site. A couple things...first, mention where you live (what state or country), some things are done different ways depending on the region. Also, look around on the various subforums here to get ideas - as mentioned there's separate sections for lighting and for flooring. Also, go through the garage gallery section to look at photos of other garage builds, you'll be able to get a lot of good ideas.

Since you're in Canada, I'm sure that you know to insulate with as much as you can. I've made the switch (mostly) from T12 to T8 fluorescent strip lights. Just make you get the correct ballast so they don't cause radio interference.

This! My fluorescent lighting causes all sorts of radio interference. I'm seriously considering going with all LED fixtures in the near future because of the ballast issue as well as the power consumption.
