Suggestions Please for Wall Hanging Items

In my ongoing attempt to make my small attached garage (20x20, ceiling is 10ft) both parking and shop, I want to get the remaining items off the floor and hang them above car door level when not in use so I can park the 4Runner closer to that wall.

Two Workmates, a 225 and 400, the 400 is pretty heavy so don't want to lift it as high, maybe under the 225 since I can lift it high no problem.

Pair of folding saw horses. (left in picture), creeper, three step stepladder,

I've also got four jack stands I'd like to store but not a problem now since they are in use.

The first picture is the left wall of the garage where I park a Toyota 4Runner, the bottom shelf of the two on the right is aprox. 7 feet off the ground. Second picture is closeup of those shelves (finally got items labeled) and third pic is the shelf I built above the overhead door.

Need suggestions on hooks or something economical I can make to hang the heavy/bulky items. Tried the orange hooks on the ground but they weren't long enough or strong enough, tried some cheap shelf supports from IKEA but were to week and too short. Thinking I'm going to have to cover the area with plywood to have flexibility otherwise stuck with stud locations.

My Dad had this knack for making brackets to hang everything from scrap plywood. First, screw say a 12" long 2x4 or 2x2 to a stud, vertically. Now cut a 12" square chunk of plywood diagonally and a screw each triangle to a side of the 2x scrap. Voila - a gass weedeater hanger. Customize the triangle shapes as needed; and/or put several 'shapes' on a longer 2x4.

For shelving.... on my 'skinny' side of the shop, I started with some skinny shelving (12") to maximize vehicle room, and switched to 24" higher up.

Now that sounds like a practical solution and a woodworking project I can actually do. Sounds strong and the triangles can be various sizes depending on what's hanging. That Workmate 400 needs a large "shelf" to hang properly.

I was looking at the wall hung shelves. You could put up a cleat wall and hang all sorts of custom shelves to better use the sf. There's a YouTube guy named Frank Howarth that explains it way better than I could.

OK, for CHEAP I'm an expert.
For wall hanging, I buy these hangers at HF, sometimes on sale for $1 each (coupon):

I mount them on a length fence board and use 2 screws through that board into the stud
I have cut the bend out and made 2 hangers too...

For shelves I use fence boards and metal shelf brackets, not too deep to have to dig behind stuff to get other stuff.

Finally I buy twin bed frames at the thrift store, weld them into a rectangle, use perf'ed angle to hang them from the ceiling and put a piece of OSB in the frame.
The frame in the pic is against the wall, over the man door in my garage.
Bed frame angle is HARD and will eat up your drills, I weld the corners and weld on some soft steel tabs to bolt the hangers to.

Good stuff Kenstone1, I have one of those HF v-hangers but haven't used it because it doesn't mount to a stud, figures I'd have to screw it to a board if I didn't have solid wood or plywood to mount to.

Like the fence board shelving, agree shallow shelves are best for spray cans and supplies so things don't get "lost" at the back of the shelf. Can't weld but your bed frame storage is cheap genius.
