I have a large propane heater for my garage (450 square foot) for when I'm working out there, is there an electric heater available that would keep the garage say around 50f I could leave plugged in all the time? It is insulated I'm just not sure if there's a specific one you guys would recommend.

I have a portable 220volt heater with a thermostat. I just turned it up as high as it would go, turned it on. When the garage got to the temp. I wanted I then turned it down until it shut down. Now it keeps it to that temp +- about 5 degrees.

If you had something like a 5kW electric heater, permanent hardwired, then I don't think you'd have any issues. Relative to keeping it 50F always, you'd have to see how you liked the power bill....Personally I'd let it "coast" and ramp it up when you plan to work out there. Should not take too long to come up to temp.
